GW12: Lost in the Woods of the Nottingham Forest 🌳😱

Published on November 27, 2025 at 11:54 AM

Happy Thanksgiving!!!🦃 🍽 I hope everyone is getting to spend some time with friends and family, and reflecting on a craaaaazy week of EPL and Champions league. There's a lot to be thankful for this year, but one of those things is our wonderful FPL league, thanks everyone for taking part in it and for all the banter! 🙏

Now let's see how everyone's week went!

Week in Review

Chelsea (2) - Burnley (0)

Neto and Enzo finish off burnley in style as Chelsea takes the 2 spot. It seems simple enough, but many teams struggle with winning the games you're supposed to win against worse opponents to stay in competition for the title. Chelsea have been solid to close out games and get results to keep them within arms reach. Down 6 points to Arsenal, this Sunday could either close the gap or put Arsenal juuuust about out of reach. Everything to play for at the Bridge on Sunday in what will be an epic 1 vs 2 hatewatch.

Bournemouth (2) - West Ham (2)

Any Callum Wilson owners in the chat? An emphatic brace earned West Ham a vital point against Bournemouth, who is struggling to regain their early season form. A Tavernier pen and an Unai goal settled the score at 2 a piece.

Brighton (2) - Brentford (1)

Is Brighton peskier than the Bees themselves? Who's to say, but in this game they sure got the better of them thanks to goals from the ever reliable Danny Welbeck and Hinshelwood. Igor Thiago bagged a pen early in the game, but it was not enough to secure any points. Thiago looking like a must have going forward.

Fulham (1) - Sunderland (0)

A rare lapse in form for Sunderland this season who have fallen back down to 7th. Who else but Raul Jimenez to secure all 3 points for Fulham in a much needed win.

Nottingham (3) - Liverpool (0)

Stadium: Anfield

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Dyche ball is officially back! We used to pray for days like this, and the holy football Gods have delivered once again in what would end up being the 2nd worst loss of the week for Liverpool. This team is beyond lost, and may be at the point of no return for the season. I mean it's truly is remarkable to be one of the most spoiled clubs in all of European football, spend almost HALF A BILLION 💴 on players that are either extremely overrated, or that are good but have been put into an incompetent system where they can't beat a team fighting for relegation in their own home.

It's a cliche, but it's true, hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. And all the talent in the word clearly can't get this Liverpool team to get results because they spend the entire game sulking on the pitch and refuse to attack dangerous areas. Isak and Wirtz have become scapegoats to a deeper issue plaguing the whole team - thinking that money buys results and they don't have to try anymore. Sure, they'll try to throw more money at the problem in Jan - but this problem persists to the core of the club, the Silver Spoon 🥄 continues to tarnish, and Liverpool how now fallen out of the top 10, 9 losses in their last 12 games. A team given everything and producing nothing. Who will step up and lead this team out of Rock Bottom?? 📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉📉

P.S. Liverpool, I aint' done yet...

Anfield used to be feared, now it's just another home game for the visiting team. To follow up on this result and try to bounce back, Liverpool needed a statement win at Anfield against an on paper "lesser opponent". You know, maybe Liverpool were just caught up in the international break hangover and were looking too far ahead in their schedule when they faced Forest. Surely then churn out a confident win against PSV infront of the Pool faithful at home to regain confidence in a softball match up and get this train back on track aaaaand..oh no....surely not....

HOW ARE YOU LOSING TO PSV 4-1  AT HOME??? AT ANFIELD???? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 WHY IS VVD PLAYING VOLLEYBALL IN HIS OWN BOX??? And my oh my these Jamie Carragher tears are healing. MUSTYPOOL IS HERE TO STAY!! SLOT IN!!! #KLOPPYSECONDS. Can't wait to see just how far this goes, as it stands, Liverpool may not even qualify for European football next season, I'd be so embarrased rn.

Palace (2) - Wolves (0)

Moment of silence for the fellow Mateta captainers, especially after missing an absolute sitter. But alas, expected win for Palace. Goals from Munoz and Pino to settle this one and push Wolves further into the relegation zone.

Newcastle (2) - Man City (1)

Harvey Barnes is on FIRE as his brace defeats Man City at St. James!! Massive W for Newcastle to bounce back from back-to-back 3-1 PL defeats to West Ham and Brentford. While they didn't get the result against Marseille, Barnes scored yet again and Newcastle looks poised to create some trouble in the CL if they can secure the right match up in the knockout rounds. A rare Haaland blank as Dias scores the only Man City goal.

Villa (2) - Leeds (1)

Another day, another L for Leeds, who sit just below West Ham and are in the relegation zone based on GD. Lot of season to play, but I expect them to be sweating throughout the rest of the season. On the other hand, it's 4 Ws in 5 for Villa, who have somehow slowly crawled back up into top 4 despite a bad start to the year. Goals from Nmecha for Leeds and a Rogers brace, including a beautiful free kick, decide this one.

Arsenal (4) - Tottenham (1)

Gotta give credit where credit is due, so far Arsenal has pulled a reverse Liverpool and shown what can happen when you invest wisely into good players that fit a strong system with a "we" mentality over individual ego. Of course all that ego went straight to their fans' heads, but the team on the pitch plays in strong unison, certainly makes the most of their set piece chances, and has found a way to evolve Eze into his final form, bagging a hattrick against Spurs to bury them. Goals from Troussard and shirt on Richarlison settle the score at 4-1.

The problem? No one wants to be the best team in November, if it doesn't mean shit in May. This run of form, while positioning them top of the league and in CL, is likely to be unsustainable. As the one constant in Arsenal is the history of the bottle, excited to see how they fumble this one later on!

Man U (0) vs. Everton (1)

Just when you think you've seen it all...a player gets a Red for slapping his own teammate in the 13th Min. Yes..Gueye decided to take matters into his own hands and slap Keane to keep the Man U unbeaten streak alive...wait hold on....am I seeing this right? DESPITE THIS MAN U GOT SHUT OUT BY A SELF INFLICTED 10 MEN EVERTON AT OLD TRAFFORD???? MAN U IS STILL ASS???

Say it with me...

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Also how is Zirkzee still getting minutes? Back down to 10th for Man U as Dewsbury-Hall seals it for Everton. What's funny/sad is this is still considered a better than expected season for Man U.

Boneheaded Plays of the Week 🍖🧠

This was a particularly musty week for many including myself, let's callout some of the boneheads across the land

Boneheaded 🦴 :

3. Mateta captainers (myself included), in what appeared as a tantalizing match up turned to horror as Mateta turned into Man U Lukaku, missing wide open opportunities and only earning 1 total point. Just awful stuff here.

2. Me again! Ripping a free hit that earned me less points than I would have had without it, and almost earning me bottom dawg.

1. The epic Joao Pedro Triple Captain from David Henkaus, earning a whopping 3 pts total. What a bonehead! He redeemed it with Munoz, Lacroix, and Tarkowski starts. But this could come back to haunt the HenkDad

Top Dawg ⬆️🐶

Lotto Ticket - 86pts

All hail King Cal!!! In a week full of duds Calvary went full throttle with an amazing team performance + a bonus 10 pts from a Pickford masterclass via bench boost. Galaxy brain moves playing Eze with the Hatty, Trossard, and Munoz. With a solid 13 more points total from Dias and Cucurella. A rogue Garner 6, and there you have it, a massive W for Cal to secure himself top 4 for the time being to pair with the epic Everton W. Things are looking up for Mr. Tutson. This Lotto ticket may cash out afterall.

Bottom Dawg ⬇️🦮

Im Sorry Nic Jackson - 20 pts

Happy thanksgiving Cullen! This year, we're thankful for you not letting anyone else be bottom dawg over the holiday, truly a selfless move. Truly just an unfortunate week for Cullen, with a combined 1 pt from his 4 players in the back line. Caicedo and Mbuemo 0 and 1 pts each, Haaland and Pedro blanks. It was truly a perfect storm in what appeared to be a good team heading into the week. That being said, Cullen's earlier push has him 81 pts clear of last place. Must left to play for, but thinking he avoids buying a jersey this year currently seated in 37th.

And that will do it for week 12, one frosty spin incoming for the holidays!
