GW9: IT'S PURE CHAOS!!๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Published on October 27, 2025 at 1:19โ€ฏPM

Hellooooooooooo everyone! I have the day off today so might as well crank this ol recap out. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, Steph and I just got back from Lake Geneva, pretty solid place if you're passing through the midwest. Lot's of apple orchards nearby!๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ Millie and Antoine are thriving, got one on each side going in and out of sleep. Anyone have any fun plans for Halloweekend? I've heard things are gonna get absolutely craaaazy this weekend in Chicago for GRiZ.

But enough pleasantries, what a wild week we had to close out GW9. It's crazy to say, but after this week we are basically at the 1/4th mark of the season. Time flies when you're having fun! Plenty of games left to play, but after 9 weeks we have an absolutely insane top 4 and top 8 order for the league. Arsenal continue to build their bottle and are creating separation at the top, Bournemouth have snuck in top 2, Tottenham continue to hold down the 3, and SUNDERLAND are holding down 4. Man City and Man U are battling for that coveted Europa league spot, and Liverpool has dropped from first to SEVENTH after FOUR CONSECUTIVE Ls LMAOOOOOOOOO๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ You really can't make this stuff up. Chelsea is barely cracking top 10, and Newcastle sits at 12th. Forest and West Ham are fighting for relegation, it's pure chaos right now!

Week in Review

Leeds (2) - West Ham (1)

Things are going from bad to worse for West Ham as they now sit 4 points back from safety. Two quick strikes from Leeds, including one from our fellow American Brenden Aaronson settled the game here despite a late comeback effort from Fernandes. Washed Ham in serious threat of relegation.

Chelsea (1) - Sunderland (2)

Sunderland are not playing around this year! Absolutely insane for a newly promoted side to crack top 4 after 9 gameweeks. And their latest victim was Chelsea at home! Yes it appears the Stamford Bridge of old is no more, and they're letting just anyone pass through it toll free!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ In a year where the top 4 is wide open, Chelsea seems to be a little to disorganized and incompetent to make a serious run for the throne.

But truely, hats off to this Sunderland team, they have no quit in em. After going down 1-0 quickly to Atleti and Man U reject Garnacho, they equalized thanks to Isidor. We seemed destined for a 1-1 tie, until a hail mary deep ball connected, and Talbi buried the dagger in the 93rd minute. Epic Bruh Moment from Chelsea yet again. On the plus side, no red cards!

Newcastle (2) - Fulham (1)

BREAKING: THE MURPHINATOR STRIKES AGAIN!!! Big W from the Toon as Big Murph bagged an early goal. Lukic equalized in the 2nd half, but another clutch goal from Bruno saved the day for Newcastle and they skyrocketed to 12th place in the league! They're playing with heart and courage to avoid being right at the middle of the table. And if they set their minds to it, maybe they can even make the conference league next year!

 Man U (4) - Brighton (2)

Sometimes, it takes one big result to turn around a season, and Man U seem to be playing with a newfound hope they can continue to build on. It's 3 games in a row for the Red Devils, and things are falling into place for new signings Mbuemo, Sesko, and Cunha. One goal for Cunha, a goal from Casemiro, and a brace from Mbuemo proved too much for Danny Welbeck FC. Man U will need to get through an ice cold Forest to get to 4 in a row, then an in-form Tottenham will have to stand in their way for 5 consecutive Ws. Might be time to add some Man U players back into the ol FPL rotation. Don't look now, but Man U are only 6pts back from top of the table and 1pt back from top 4 in what seems to be a bounce back from rock bottom.

Brentford (3) - Liverpool (2)

And I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Free faaaaaaallin'
Yeah, I'm freeeeeeeee
Free fallin'

IT'S FOUR CONSECUTIVE L'S FOR LIVERPOOL LMAOOOO!๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ˜ต‍๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ˜ต‍๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿซจ #SLOTIN #OVERRATEDPOOL #THROWSOMEMOREMONEYATITANDHOPEITFIXESIT #NEWTOTTENHAM Spectacular goals from Outtara (in the 5th min), Schade before half after an absolute mental switch off from Pool, and controversial 60th min pen proved too much for Liverpool to comeback from (despite Ref's attempts for more stoppage time) as feeble efforts from the system king and Kerkez left the score at 3-2. Mumurs of Slot's sacking are starting to brew...was it all really just a fluke off of the team Klopp built?

Arsenal (1) - Crystal Palace (0)

Flop, get set piece, score seems to be the winning formula for Arsenal as new signing Eze ripped an absolute banger of the deflection. It's not pretty but it has been effective to date as Arsenal widen the gap up top, complemented by horrifically musty performances from Pool, Chelsea, and Man City.

Like Liverpool, murmurs of unsustainability are flowing through the annals of the soccer community (aka the Whatsapp group) but it's true. As team's wisen up to their tactics, and as the flops begin to yield less whistles, I expect we have yet another bottle on our hands. On the Palace end, Mateta and Munoz come back down to earth after a big showings last week.

Villa (1) - Man City (0)

Now that's how you bounce back after taking an L to the Go Ahead Eagles!! Sad day for us Haaland truthers as our dear Viking produced his first blank in a long time๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I expect him to bounce back, but City look absolutely lost without him producing a goal. Pep ball's effectiveness seems to be fading, and Villa seem to be getting back on track after an atrocious start to the year.

Bournemouth (2) - Nottingham Forest (0)

New coach, same ol Forest this season. And Bournemouth have found themselves challenging for the top of the league somehow! A rare Olimpico goal from Tavernier (a great homage to our dear Antoine Griezmann's Olimpico goal) and another goal from Kroupi settled this one despite a rare Semenyo blank. Forest are in deep trouble as they face off against a Red Hot Man U next week.

Wolves (2) - Burnley (3)

Only 2 pts in 9 game for Wolves as they seem on a collision course with relegation. Entertaining game though featuring a Flemming brace, foster winner in the 95th, and goals from Strand Larsen and Munetsi. Start anyone vs. Wolves and that atrocious back line.

Everton (0) - Tottenham (3)

Tottenham continue to produce solid results and are still top 4 after 9 weeks! An absolutely MONSTER game from Van de Ven with a brace + clean sheet + bonus, as well as a late Sarr goal wrapped this one up for Spurs. Everton seem continually doomed to lower mid table.

Big Brain Plays of the Week ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿง

HM: Beef for getting those Bruno pts no one else is really cashing in on to help stay top of the table.

3. Salah truthers, a garbage time goal finally yields positive returns for our dear system king.

2. Gabriel players, fake injury news can't scare us!!

1. Van de Ven players, this is one of those games that can really shake up the FPL table when all is said and done.

Top Dawg โฌ†๏ธ๐Ÿถ

Obsessed FC - 82pts

Another well-timed bench boost, this time for one of the Chelsea boys, Gus!! A tough day for Chelsea, but a massive day for Gus to give him the fast track to 2nd place overall! Massive day for his back line and GK with Vicario, Gabriel, Van de Ven, and Guehi combining for 42 pts, with some solid pts from Rice and Salah to go with it. Star of the bench boost was Truffert, bringing in a strong 10pts. Take a bow, Gus!

Bottom Dawg โฌ‡๏ธ๐Ÿฆฎ

Antonyd for speed - 28pts

Ohhhh nooooo not another bottom dawg from the Powers fam! Man U is up big, but Mike is nose diving down the table with an absolutely diabolical performance, being the only team to go sub 30 this week. You know when Jarrod Bowen is your top scorer you're in deeeeep trouble. Take a -1 from Dorgu, and literal blanks from everyone else minus JB and there you have it, a verrrrrry stinky bottom dawg. Cone of shame for our dear Mike, who will look to bounce back from 35th place next week!

Annnd that concludes GW9, biiiig Atleti game vs. Antony and Betis later today, and some fun Carabao cup games incoming for most everyone!
