GW33: Shoulda stayed humble, eh!😈

Published on April 23, 2026 at 11:07 PM

Haaaaaappy Thursday lads!🎉🎉 Boy is there nothing more that I wanna do than recap a DOUBLE GW after putting in an absolute shift at the ol 9-5+. Now before we get into this article, just gotta say this whole Dave Matthews Band thing is really starting to click for me, I guess this is 31 haha 👴🏻. If you're looking to get a lil DMB fix, you really gotta listen to Joyful Girl by Soulive and Dave Matthews Band. I mean wow, what a great song. Wouldn't be shocked if it finds a way to creep its way into my top 5 wrapped. Great use of horns, clear vocals, smooth guitar solo, all to be brought back into the sweet groove of Dave's vocals, you think the rest will fade out then BOOM, a fantastic extended saxophone solo to bring us home. May just throw this bad boi on repeat while I crank this ol article out 🎷

Now on to the gameweek at hand..honesty..hilarious how it's all coming together exactly how we said it would. Manifesting goes craaaazy, just don't overdo it (RIP Copa del Rey). Absolute cinema to close out the year as now truly every goal and point makes a different between City and Arsenal. Do more shocks lay ahead? Almost certainly! Not to mention we're on a collision course with the CL top 4 games next week, it only gets better from here and then...we get the world cup!! Big time of the year for many of us! Now let's get to it...this is THE DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 33 RECAP 😤😤😤

FPL Cup Rd 1 Results!!

Despite many byes, we did in fact have a number of cup games this week. Remember, win the cup, win $25 thanks to 3rd to last and 2nd to last teams! Some close ones for sure (reaaal tough break for Dr. Doge and Calvary), and an absolute blowout (Andy CRUSHED Jake lmaoooo). I guess Niall played in to a bye? Who knows lol but don't question the Cup! 🤷 Rd 2 bout to be a moooovie

Best of luck to everyone still competing out there! Now let's see how everyone's favorite teams did in this hiiiiigh scoring week of weeks!

Week in Review

Brentford (0) - Fulham (0)

Fairly tame game all things considered after Igor's big brace, both teams fighting for a late season push for Europe!

Leeds (3) - Wolves (0)

Still very funny Wolves showed up when it mattered to derail some seasons for the big boys. Absolute domination for Leeds to create some separation though thanks to DCL, Okafor, and Justin (it was Bieberchella afterall). Leeds sneaky creepin up on Newcastle as only 2 pts separate them.

Bournemouth (2) - Newcastle (1)

I guess let's run it back a third time in a row...

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭

3 Ls in a row for Newcastle as Bournemouth sneak into top 7 and a conference league spot. Just absolute must from Newcastle, who sit 14th in the league and poised to miss out on all European competitions barring an absolute miracle to end the year. I know Beef gotta be going through it rn..

Newcastle look poised to bounce back next week, however:

Tottenham (2) - Brighton (2)

You just can't make this shit up...absolute HEARTBREAKER for relegationham at the very last second of the game 💔. Surely Spurs should know by now when the shift comes off to celebrate, doom is sure to follow. Romero out for rest of year, Tottenham are going to have to dig deep to stay in the prem, absolute madness.

The Tottenham experience in 4 frames, straight out the Richarlison playbook 😂😂

Man U (1) - Chelsea (0)

Man U continuing to find the results they need to stay confortably in CL contention while the Chelsea boys creep further and further into the assbyss. Only 3 more assists needed for Bruno to break the record, very exciting for history guys!! 📚

Chelsea (0) - Brighton (3)

0 goals in the last 5 games, and 5 consecutive premier Ls for Chelsea, this can only mean one thing..Chelsea need another scapegoat!!! Keep your chin up, Liam, better days ahead!

Warra 0 pts in a double gameweek for Joao Pedro owners as well. I gotta say, Chelsea boys, I miss ya in the chat, and I miss when Chelsea used to be proper Chels. Better days ahead. Nice to see Mr. Welbeck doing his thing on the double GW.

Nottingham Forest (4) - Burnley (1)

RIP Burnley, Forest securing an emphatic W to put themselves in the drivers seat to stay afloat in PL. A Gibbs-White hatty too, nice lil treat to those who had him!

Sunderland (3) - Aston Villa (4)

Lowkey the craziest game of the week, take a watch for yourself. Big 3 points for Villa's CL hopes. Nice lil Watkins brace!

Liverpool (2) - Everton (1)

Nice lil Merseyside send off for big Robbo and Salah. All trolls aside it will be sad to see them move on as a golden era is coming to an end for Pool, each game from here on out means a little more for Liverpool as they fight to keep Slot employed. Good result to create a little breathing room for CL placement. Who else but big Virg to bury it in the "Whenever Liverpool Score" minute. One for old times sake I suppose.

Just throw in the towel already Spurs, this is absolutely shameful for how much was spent on this roster. Honestly, I'm not convinced they get out the championship first try if they go down once all their players jump ship.

Man City (2) vs. Arsenal (1)

The moment the season was leading up to did not disappoint, absolute SCENES as Arsenal fell to Man City 2-1 to set the league level on points. I will say, fair play to Arsenal for not coming out like 11 turtles and withdrawing deep into the lowblock. They came out to play, and really did have the chances to get a draw or W if things went a little more in their favor. But truly it's something in Man City's DNA to clutch out a W, this time courtesy of Lionel Cherki and who else but the Viking God himself, Mr. Erling Haaland.

I will say, Erling is not afraid of anyone lmao. Should it have been a red for Gabriel for a lil bitchy ass headbutt? Definitely, but makes it even better they closed out the result without it. This title lowkey may be settled on Goal differential which is INSANE!! Must wins from here on out for both teams. If I were Arsenal I would deeeeefinity focus on the league and not CL.

Man City (1) vs. Burnley (0)

Double RIP Burnley 🪦 Was always gonna be a W for City. All locked at 70 with a new chip leader! Talk about a Manwich!

I do miss Scott's table updates, maybe we'll see one again at the start of next season thanks to alphabetical order!

Crystal Palace (0) vs. West Ham (0)

It stays 2 pts up for West Ham on Tottenham, absolute photo finish incoming

Bournemouth (2) vs. Leeds (2)

Rayan cookin, and the ghost of Sean Longstaff bagging last min equalizers to put the pressure on Newcastle, love to see it

Now back to FPL...

Galaxy Brain Plays of the Week 🌌🧠

  • Haaland TCers Riiiiiise! Nice lil 2 goals and some bonus points for the king of FPL

  • The big bench boooostas!

  • Gibbs-White players, daaaaaamn! Nice job if you did this lol

  • Truffert and Bijol players

  • Verbruggen stans, O'Reilly players, Okafor, Cherki, Van Hecke, the list goes on! Most everyone was eating!

  • While we saw some big brain plays, only one stood above the rest with a season high performance..none other than....

Top Dawg ⬆️🐶

Disciple of Arsene - 142 pts

Guess who's back, back again, Scott is back, tell a friend....DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMNNNNNNNN SCOTT CHILL BROOOOOOO

A season high after a bench boost that absolutely ripped. 8 For Verbruggen, 13 Truffert, 13 O'Reilly, 12 Van Hecke, 16 Gross???, 26 Haaland, 8 DCL, and 27 bench points. Only mess up what the Joao Pedro 0. Absolutely crazy week as Scott and Arsenal both hit 2nd place. Take a gander for yaself!

Bottom Dawg ⬇️🦮

"Pushing some lines" - 36 pts

Absolutely the opposite week you wanna have in a double game week and the first week of the FPL cup for Mr. "Bruh I missed the deadline again" Runnals. Pure mustiness in a week ripe with opportunity. Bad bad performance from Jake, who's only hopes to salvage the season look to be the Newcastle Award.

Welp that'll do it! Got some frosties in the chamber thanks to Scott and Jake, juuuust waiting for the right time to fire em off. Anyway, it's on to week 34/38 next, INSANE. Have a great weekend yall! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
