Whats good lads?? Crazy we find ourselves in mid May and at the end of gameweek 36! We're in for an absolutely scintillating finish to FPL and the EPL as one Arsenal tie could set this season into chaos and GD could be the final decider๐๐๐๐. Let's take a look at the top 5 standings:
Odds have Arsenal up to ~70-80% chance to win it. But Man City have em on GD. All hopes rest on a relegated Burnley and Palace's C team. YOU CAN DO IT LADS!!!๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
I ran the numbers, here's what they're saying on chances to win the league:
-
Beef - 55-65% chance to win ๐คจ
-
Scott - 20-25% chance to win ๐
-
Kevans - 8-12% chance to win ๐
-
Timo - 3-5% chance to win ๐
-
Luis - 1-3% ๐
Never say never!!!! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!๐ช๐ช๐ช
Now on to what everyone truly cares about, the FPL CUP. Some absolutely insaaaaaane action in the QFs, let's take a look shall we?
Quaterfinals CUP ACTION!!! ๐๐๐
4 down, 4 left. An absolute heartbreaker for Brian Powers going down to former contender Sean Joseph, ouch! Close W for Scott over Matt D as Salih and Milliesborough both secured comfortable Ws. Absolutely massive semis finals incoming to decide who plays for the coveted trophy and $25 hard earned dollars from 2nd and 3rd (+ another $25 from the pot)
Now let's get to the games in our mini double GW!
Chelsea (1) - Liverpool (1)
Logan look away! It's the classic:
Chelsea going out sad against a veeeeery washed Liverpool closing out what might be the most pathetic title defense I've ever witnessed. But Chelsea have one more trick up their sleeve, a chance to turn up big and qualify for Europe in the FA Cup! Will Cup Final Cole finally remember who he is?? Time will tell!
Brighton (3) - Wolves (0)
See ya in two years, Wolves! Brighton still fighting for Europa league, even CL if things go absolutely terribly for Villa!
Fulham (0) ๐ฅ - Bournemouth (1) ๐ฅ
A little red card madness and who else but Rayan to settle this one as Bournemouth seem poised for European football barring an absolute meltdown!
Man U (0) - Sunderland (0)
Senne Lammens legacy game๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค. The Bruno assist record surely comes over the next 2 weeks. Player of the season!!! Can't think of uh...anyone...or uhhh any other team really..having a better season ๐ค Great Selection!
Man City (3) - Brentford (0)
Nicely done Brentford, nicely done ๐. Understanding the assignment at hand and letting Haaland cook. Solid W for City to keep their title and GD hopes up! Doku is absolutely cooooookin, and nice to see big Moush back up to his usual tricks. Will be interesting to see if City sell Marmoush for biiiig money this summer. He could cook somewhere else like Julian Alvarez! ๐ง๐ณ
Burnley tying a top 5 team qualified for the CL...dare I say...
What's one more draw for the road? You can do it you Super Clarets!!๐๐๐๐
An essential part of my epic drawlay cashout ๐ - but overall pretty inconsquential game but Everton's Europe hopes are still hanging on by a thread! Good to get Palace some tie practice going into the last few games for sure.
Nottingham Forest (1) - Newcastle (1)
It really be your own sometimes...After a late Barnes goal, Newcastle seemed poised to sit back and take a much needed W. But who else but the Geordie Maradona himself to put a dagger into the hearts to the Toon (and keep my epic drawlay alive?). Thanks to all involved and for $300! Newcastle left wondering what could have been if they kept their starboy. In another life:
West Ham (1-1) vs. Arsenal (1)
The VAR call heard round the world...absolute scenes as Beefstradamus almost accurately predicted the Callum Wilson dagger goal to Arsenal. But who all but their best friend Mr. VAR to bail them out when they need it most. ๐
I've only really seen these kinds of shenanigans at this level with one other team in my life where the calls look drasitically different depending on who's on the benefitting side of it, none other than the club in the middle of one of the most epic meltdowns I've ever seen, Real Madrid. There are some veeeeeeery suspicious whistles whenever Arsenal set foot on the pitch, and while sure this was technically a foul on Raya, no denying Arsenal have had maaaaaany instances much like this that have earned them the points that currently separate them at the top compared to Man City. CALL IT BOTH WAYS SIR!!
All we can hope is karma comes back to get them (and that asshole Gabriel who mind you had a nice handful of jersey while Trossard pushed Pablo into Raya in the first place). All while Mr. Performative Himself Declan Rice was fouling two other guys. Truly symbolic way for Arsenal to juuuust about lock this title up..unleeeeesss Burnley, Palace, and PSG can lock tf in.
Tottenham (1) vs. Leeds (1)
Speaking of North London clubs benefitting from some questionable calls on the opposite end of the table, it's Tottenham ๐ง. Veeeery fortunate to still be just 2 points up on West Ham after this week. I mean what TF is this offsides call? Peppa Pig money paying off the refs it seems..Big Ref is rampant this season it's sad to see.
Man City (3) - Crystal Palace (0)
Another commanding 3-0 W to go up on GD and stay 2 points back on Arsenal. Big game for Marmoush, Semenyo, and Savinho to win comfortably on team saving themselves for Arsenal and the Conference League final. Nice lil clean sheet again for Mr. Guehi, we take those. It all comes down to the last 2 weeks! Biiiiiiig FA Cup final incoming for City and Chelsea as well.
Galaxy Brain Plays of the Week ๐๐ง
-
Guehi players, an absolutely scrumptious 15 this week in the DGW
-
Haaland captainers and TC'ers ate big this week
-
Gabriel, Rayan, Sarr and Senesi players, nicely done nicely done
-
Bench Boostas, biiiig week for the bench boost (except Gavin's lame ass bench boost, must run in the fam!)
-
The rogue Gravenberch truthers..remarkable stuff
Speaking of Bench Boostas, what an absolute week from Mr. HenkDad himself to take the top dawg spot. Nicely done sir. 11 from Gabriel, 15 from Guehi, 12 from Semenyo, 10 from big Gravy B, FIFTEEN from Tarky, and a nice 6 a piece from Mateta and Verbruggen. The man couldn't miss for the most part. Take a bow. Believe it or not, HenkDad is also currently winning the HenkCup:
16. HenkDad
19. Mikey Henk
21. Bebz
30. James
40. Patty Blaze
Ludicrous Display - 44 pts
A familiar face back again..Roldan "Montgomery Mole" Navarrete... nooooooo! His fate is juuuust about sealed as this year's jersey buyer. A deep sigh of relief for our bottom dwellers! Behold, yet another just absolutely muuuusty line up:
TWO WEEKS TO GO!!! LET'S CLOSE THIS WEEK OUT STRONG! LOCKS AND MHGOTW TO FOLLOW!! WORLD CUP IS SWIFTLY APPROACHING!! ๐
