Welp, it has finally happened...for the first time in 22 years, thanks to anti-football, sheer luck, and a string of suspicious calls and VAR decisions (including 0 Red Cards, 0 Pens all season), Arsenal have won the league against some of the worst competition the Prem has fielded in years🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. Absolutely vile stuff, but the silver lining is there is a new villain to dethrone next season to prove it was all a fluke.
But while the league is settled, FPL aint ova, only one week remains...and while Arsenal somehow didn't bottle, aaaaaanything can happen in this last week!! Let's see how it aalllll went down in GW37 to set us up for the epic conclusion of the biggest FPL year ever!
First, let's start with the FPL Cup. After a tense semifinal showdown, the Cup race is now just down to 2! Who will come out on top???
SEMI FINAL CUP ACTION!!! 🏆🏆🏆
One more game to shock the world! Come on Milliesborough!!! We can do this!!! But with Scott on a generational run, we're gonna need a miracle! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Absolute 10/10 loaf I do say! 🥹 Things are looking good, spirits are high over here.
Now on to our league race. The FPL Top 5 is as follows! Beef seems poised to take home the grand prize, but anything is possible, just take one rogue captain to turn the tides!
Head on down to the ol league rules for payout info to see what's at stake! Even more suspenseful is the race for the Newcastle award!! Remember, 22nd takes the cake! Can Sean hold it down? Or will this week shake EVERYTHING up? 🧐
Bottom 5 looks allll but settled, but anything can happen! Remember, last buys a jersey, and 2nd and 3rd to last help fund the cup winner!
Aston Villa (4) - Liverpool (2)
Oh nooooo oh nooooo, Mike, Bebz, shield your eyes!!!🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely uncanny Gerrard impression from Szoboszlai lmaooooo. Fitting way to close out the year from the most underachieving, no midfield having ass team in all of Europe. Best of all? Slot is actually in after all the damage he's done this season. To 10 more years of Slot!! Liverpool still likely to finish 5th and snag the last CL spot, but boy does it feel like they don't belong up there after all they've been through this year. Big Virg still got it tho with a brace to match Ollie's.
A little bonus content as Emery bags another European trophy to soften the blow of the Arsenal title.
Man U (3) - Nottingham Forest (2)
I mean at this point...what even is a handball 🤷. But biiiig congrats to Bruno for tying the record, and what a nice send of for Mr. Casemiro - the times they are a changing as eras come to an end for some of the game's best. Will Carrick stay? Yes he will!! Can he stay top four? 🧐
One more needed to immortalize his season as the defining achievement of the year across all teams. Sure, you can win the league at any time, not even that cool of a thing to do any more. But beat the assist record, now that is a true accomplishment! All eyes turn to Bruno on Sunday!
Brentford (2) - Crystal Palace (2)
Biggest games ahead for Palace, who hope to take home a conference league final next Wednesday. A W will lock them in a spot to the Europa league, but La Liga titans Rayo Vallecano stand in their way! Massive GW38 incoming for Brentford, who need a result against non other than Asspool to keep their European hopes alive. Get em Irving! One last one for the season:
Everton (1) - Sunderland (3)
A true battle for mid dominance, Sunderland come out on top to go to 10th place heading into the last week. Still a chance for Europe for Sunderland, as yet another disappointing year for Everton comes to a conclusion. But they have a chance to do the funniest thing ever...relegate Tottenham away in their own stadium. All it takes is a Tottenham L and a West Ham W, straaaanger things have happened! Give it to us pleeeease!
DCL doing DCL things, big W for Leeds to put Brighton in 7th with a big chance to bounce back and secure Europa league.
Fulham really had their fans thinkin for a second that Europe was possible. Wolves get the point to add some consolidation to their season. Fulham look to regroup next year with hopes of a better season.
Newcastle (3) - West Ham (1)
The one time you need to Newcastle to lose, of course they come out swinging to juuuuust about bury West Ham into sure relegation. Hell of a strike from Castellanos, but the damage was already done thanks to an in-form Osula brace. And do my eyes deceive me...is that....Nick Woltemade showing back up on the score sheet????
Arsenal (1) - Burnley (0)
A corner goal and a VAR decision that would have been a red card for literally ANY OTHER TEAM. Why are we surprised?? Hate em or reaaaally hate em, Arsenal and the PGMOL have finally done it in the year every single contender decided to be pure ass and when Pep retired mentally mid season. There's a new champion in town, and some seeeerious questions will start being asked in Arsenal can pull of the double and get their first CL. May this pleeeeeease be the only title they see in what was surely a fluke season.
Genuinely, tell me how this is not a red lol. Who knows if Burnley go on to score against 10, but come on. So many examples of this all year (i.e. Gabriel headbutt), but big PGMOL needed to mix it up this year it seems.
At least we know how Hincapie is rolling into next game 😂
Cursed cursed year. But at least we'll all forget about this in a few weeks when the freaking WORLD CUP STARTS WOOHOOOO!!!
Bournemouth (1) vs. Man City (1)
Now even with the cheated win for Arsenal, Man City still had a chance to take this title race into the final week. But after a grueling FA cup over Chelsea, it was clear they were not the same team as a hungry Bournemouth grinded out a biiiig result to clinch European football. What a way to end the Iroala era as Marco Rose takes over next year. Speaking of era ends, we bid farewell to arguable the greatest coach in Prem history, maybe even in all history (minus Diego Simeone of course). An absolute legend of the game. Will he coach again? Potentially internationally? Time well tell. And what will become of the Man City we once knew as a World Cup and massive summer transfer window loom?
Tottenham (1) vs. Chelsea (2)
Where in the world is Joao Pedro? Doesn't matter as Chelsea push Spurs into the final week not knowing what league they'll play in next season. Not to mention, even their captain has abandoned them, is this the end of Cuti Romero at Spurs as he eyes the Treble next season?? Europe hopes not over for Chelsea as the enter a must win on Sunday against a heating up Sunderland eager to play in Europe themselves. EVERYTHING TO PLAY FOR NEXT WEEK!
Galaxy Brain Plays of the Week 🌌🧠
-
Milliesborough and the others who played Watkins to secure a chance at a cup final. 15 big ones for the man bound for the world cup's most controversial team roster under Mr. Tuchel
-
Elliot Anderson players up big lately, 12 for the lad
-
Lame ass Arsenal players, solid outings as always with a Saliba 8 and Rice 10
-
Bruno truthers, a solid double assist outing for the man poised to break the record!
-
Morgan Rogers players, a veeeery solid 12
-
Virg players, locking in a brace in an embarrassing, humiliating 4-2 L is crazy work
It's the epic return of the Shrepaskus with a MASSIVE 81 points to jump to 13th. Not a bad season for the lad as some big plays landed him some serious points. 6 from Raya, 8 Saliba, 14 Virg, 9 Bruno, 7 MGW (snubbed from WC), 12 from Georgie Maradona, and a classic Haaland cappy to lock in 81, can he break top 10 to end the year??
Tottenham Titans - 41 pts
Only fitting a Tottenham fan finds himself as bottom dawg entering the final week of the season. Tough go at this year for Mr. Diffley and he falls to 34th. Safe from bottom three, but a liiiittle too far out for the Newcastle Award. Better luck next season good sir. But in the meantime, SHAME SHAME SHAME!!
Aaaaand that'll do it for now lads, it's finally here....the last turn, the very last week. 37 down, only 1 remains! Everything to play for!
CL final is approaching, World Cup rosters are dropping and drama is rising!!! FPL ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS SUNDAY!!
